December 21, 2012, marks the completion of the Great Mayan Cycle. It is also marks the day of Winter Solstice, a rare event when the Sun will be in alignment with the galactic equator.
The Mayans were aware of this incredible alignment, so that is why they chose to end their calendar on December 21, 2012. But the question is, "What is the true meaning behind this rare galactic alignment? What is the true message behind their sacred calendar?"
The main purpose of the Mayan calendar is not just about discovering the rare galactic alignment that will culminate in December, but to ultimately to connect the universe with the core of oneself, so finally at the end of the great cycle we all will recognize that the main purpose was to achieve an alignment within.
